Student tours – Primary and Secondary
Education programs are focused on NSW curriculum requirements addressing outcomes from a number of syllabus documents. During a visit to Parliament, students will engage in civics and citizenship education, learning about the procedures of parliament, the growth and processes of democracy in NSW and within the Australian federal system.
Primary and Secondary School Tours of the Chamber are conducted on non-sitting days and may include a role-play and a chance to meet the local Member of Parliament. On sitting days, students receive an explanation of the legislature and observe Parliament in action from both public galleries. To help decide the type of visit most suitable for your class, see the sitting-day calendar .
