Democracy is on the move in 2024 with Parliament of NSW hitting the road to celebrate the Bicentenary of the Legislative Council — Australia’s oldest legislative body, also known as the Parliament’s Upper House.
Over the past six months, our Regional Roadshow visited
Lismore,
Port Macquarie, Bathurst,
Batemans Bay,
Armidale and
Wagga Wagga. We ran a high school public speaking competition and youth forum across each location, along with community workshops on all things Parliament and democracy.
