Hope and Gratitude, on display in the Fountain Court of NSW Parliament House from Monday 1 February to Friday 28 February 2021.
During the month of February, over 300 paper butterflies have flown into the Parliament's Fountain Court, in celebration of World Wetlands Day 2021. Created by artist Nick Baldas and Camille Walsh, the colourful Hope and Gratitude installation involves the work of hundreds of primary and secondary school children, who were invited to 'add their wings' to the butterfly colony using tracing paper and crayons. Come and watch the butterflies as they flutter gently in the wind and catch the sunlight as it bounces off the fountain.
