Come see the exhibition in person until 23 June or take a journey through our immersive online gallery here.
Discover the works of local artists from the St George area as they reach out to reveal the environment and natural beauty that surrounds us.
Art Reach: Reaching Others Through Art is designed to make you think, feel and reflect as you gaze upon the works of 36 artists from the St George Art Society, who express themselves through mixed mediums, techniques and styles.
Inspired by the words of 19th century Impressionist Edgar Degas – "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see" – the exhibition focuses on its connection with the audience. It also showcases the passion of its artists, for most of whom art is a way of life, where expression, thoughts, ideas and inspiration combine in an outlet that has no comparison.
Styles include impressionism, realism and abstract art – so there's plenty to take in and, as you do, the artists encourage you to consider the following quote, from influential artist Paul Klee: "One eye sees, the other feels".
The exhibition is being hosted at Parliament by Member for Kogarah and Leader of the Opposition Chris Minns.
