This update is a chronological account of events arising from the Hilmer Committee's Report 'National Competition Policy' from August 1993, when the Hilmer Report was finished and released, to April 1995 when the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) met and agreed upon the implementation of the reforms recommended by the Hilmer Committee.
