Practised at Grafton for a year. Joined Rowley and Holdsworth, solicitors, in Sydney. President of Incorporated Law Institute from 1888 until 1908. Freemason and Orangeman. President of Royal Commissioner on Railways for 1891. Royal Commissioner on Statute Law Consolidation of 1896. Freemason.
