Pastoralist. Educated at J.F Castles boarding school, Sydney. Managed fathers stations near Wellington. After fathers death managed them for himself and sister from 1866 until 1877, when he sold the last of them. In partnership with J.H Gilmorn, of Bathurst, acquired cattle runs on Coopers Creek. Queensland. Director of Orange Butter Company. President of Orange Building Society. Member and Trustee of Orange Hospital Board. Member of Licensing Bench and Public School Board. Freemason. Elder of Orange Presbyterian Church.
