Australian Labor Party (ALP). Joined ALP in 1965. Member Caucus committees of Premier; Attorney General and Justice; Public Works and Ports; Treasurer; Planning and Environment. Held numerous Branch and State Electoral Councils positions. Former member and secretary of the Australian Labor Party Legal and Constitutional Committee.
Qualifications, occupations and interests
Lawyer (barrister) LLB. Educated at St Ambrose, Concord West and Marist Brothers, Eastwood. Completed a part-time law course at the University of Sydney in 1969. Admitted to the New South Wales Bar in 1970. Previously senior legal officer with the State Superannuation Board. Judicial Registrar of the Federal Court of Australia 1997 - 1998, Judical Registrar in Industrial Relations. Special interests include law reform, environment, consumer affairs, public service. Recreational interests include reading, swimming and skiing.
