Deputy President of Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales 1982 - 1992. Regional member of the Commission for the Illawarra South Coast Region. Appointed in 1985 to conduct an inquiry and report into aspects of Worker's Compensation in the State Rail Authority of New South Wales and Urban Transit Authority of New South Wales. Union Official. General Secretary of Municipal and Shire Council Employees Union of Australia, New South Wales Division 1969 - 1982 and President 1977 - 1982. Previously employed by the Sydney County Council and Electricity Commission of New South Wales. Educated at Ladysmith Public School 1936 - 1939, Mosman Public School 1940 - 1942 and North Sydney Technical High School 1943 - 1947 to leaving certificate level. Awarded a scholarship from Imperial Relations Trust to visit Britain and Europe 1961. Visited United States of America under leader grant sponsored by United States of America 1978. Member of Australian Tripartite Delegation to 66th session of International Labor Conference 1980. Recreational interests include boating, swimming, reading and fishing.
