Stock and station agent. Educated at Yanco public school; worked with father in carrying and roadmaking; opened as stock and station agent in Yanco in 1920, stock buyer on commission, acquired a considerable interest in stock interstate; also was a butcher at Yanco, Leeton and in a partnership with Matong Cash Butchery which sold in 1926, following bankruptcy was discharged in 1935; moved stock and station agency to Leeton, and in 1968 to Yanco; also worked as a real estate agent and auctioneer, immigration and travel agent; director of South West Co-operative Meat Company; member of Land Board; foundation president at Yanco and Murrumbidgee Districts Pioneers and Historical Association from 1968 until 1975.
