Qualifications, occupations and interests
Linesman. Educated at Granville Superior public school; joined railways in 1911, labourer then linesman, resigned in 1913, reappointed in 1917 as a linesman, resigned in 1941; was also a poultry farmer; secretary of the Wollongong branch of the Electrical Trades' Union in 1941. Recreational interests include boxing, long distance swimming and cricket.
