Vice president of Fruitgrowers' Federation of New South Wales; New South Wales representative on Australian Apple and Pear Board 1938 - 1940; foundation member of Agricultural Board of New South Wales; vice president of Orange Chamber of Commerce, Orange Show Society, Orange Jockey Club. Rotarian.

Served in Australian Infantry Forces 1916 - 1919, 7th Field Artillery Brigade, lieutenant.
