Qualifications, occupations and interests
Farmer and grazier. Educated at Tonbridge, England and St Peter's College in Adelaide; and Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia. Orchardist in Clare, South Australia; established a wheat and wool property in Bethungra in Cootamundra district c.1906. Bred thoroughbred horses. Member of Farmers and Settlers Association' Association; Union and Australia Clubs.
Military Service
Served in Australian Infantry Forces from 1916 until 1919, 17th, 27th and 20th Battalion, France, Sergeant.
