Lawyer (solicitor). Educated at Windsor Grammar and Cooerwell Academy, Bowenfels; employed by Commercial Banking Company of Sydney for four years, then articled to father's legal firm; admitted as a solicitor in 1899, joined father in William Walker and Sons, and later became a senior partner. Became a manager of Windsor branch Savings Bank until amalgamation with the Government Savings Bank; director of Kurrajong Savings Bank and Concrete and General Construction Limited; president of Windsor Literary Institute; vice president of Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association; president of Hawkesbury District Hospital 1910 - 1932; president of Hawkesbury Benevolent Society 1911 - 1932; noted rifle shot; Freemason.

Joined New South Wales Lancers, 2nd Lieutenant in 1900, Australian Light Horse, Major.
