Confectioner and union official. Educated at Burwood public school; commenced work with Hendersons, confectioners; New South Wales secretary and federal president of the Federal Confectioners Association from 1940 until 1969, executive member of Trades and Labor Council (TLC), delegate to International Labour Organisation, Geneva in 1956; director of 2KY; member of Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Society., Liverpool, and of Liverpool Progress Association. Recreational interests include bowls.
Military Service
Served in Australian Infantry Forces from 1916 until 1917, 53rd Battalion, Gallipoli and France, private, invalided home, later rejoined Hendersons.
