Became an original member of Union Club in Sydney in 1858.
Qualifications, occupations and interests
Pastoralist. Took up grazing runs on the Monaro near Bredbo in 1834 and was also runnning 10,000 sheep on his land grants near Goulburn. Also owned a flour mill and brewery at Goulburn. Became actively associated with select committees on Aboriginals. Devoted his energies to little else than pastoral affairs and became an active promoter of railways.

Second son of Sergeant Jonas Bradley and his wife Catherine. Married Emily Elizabeth Hovell on 10 August 1831 at Campbelltown and had issue, 6 daughters and 2 sons. His wife died in Rome on 22 April 1848. After his death was buried at St Stephen's churchyard in Camperdown.
