Cabinet Maker. Apprenticed as a cabinet maker or carpenter, London. Arrived in New South Wales on 28 January 1814. Worked as a joiner making house fittings. Became a cabinet maker and became a leading manufacturer. Retired c.1847. Nephew took over the business. Director Australian Gaslight Company, 1853. Deputy Chairman of Metropolitan and Counties Permanent Investment and Building Society. On Committee of New South Wales Auxiliary to British and Foreign Bible Society., and Committee Australian Religious Tract Society.
