Carpenter. Educated at St Joseph's Christian Brothers High School, Rozelle. Apprenticed to the Railways Department as a carriage and wagon builder; carpenter; executive member of New South Wales Building Workers Industrial Union. Recreational interests include fishing, boating and reading.
