Bank officer. Educated at Newington College, Stanmore. Associate of the Australian Society of Accountants in 1937, joined Bank of New South Wales in 1929. Became a bill clerk, assistant accountant in London office, 1951 until 1952 was an accountant in London; executive director of Proprietary Medicines and Fine Chemicals Association of Australia in 1975; chairman of Bank Employees' Committee from 1947 until 1949 and campaign director for the banks in 1949; director of National Heart Foundation; president of Central Kuringai District Boy Scouts Association; member of project committee at Westmead Teaching Hospital Complex; member of Roseville Returned Serviceman's Leagues, Guide Dogs for Blind Association, Lions Club, and St John's Church of England Gordon parish council from 1957 until 1959.
