Qualifications, occupations and interests
Lawyer (solicitor). Came to New South Wales at an early age; articled to C.Way in 1889, assigned to C.R.A Smith in 1893; University of Sydney obtained a BA in 1893 and LLB in 1895; admitted as a solicitor in 1895, practised in Taree; owned dairying and grazing properties near Taree with his sons; member of Farmers and Settlers' Association in 1911; fellow of Senate of University of Sydney from 1937 until 1941.
