2640 - Skills and Tertiary Education - CENTRAL WEST LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Jackson, Rose to the Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning representing the Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education

(1) Could the Minister please provide an update regarding helping to secure a site for the Central West Leadership Academy, including the prospect of supporting them to remain in their current location on the excess to need NSW TAFE site?

Answer -

On 22 October 2020 I wrote to the Central West Leadership Academy (CWLA) and advised that the TAFE NSW property at 8 George St, Dubbo, which CWLA currently occupies part of, is surplus to TAFE NSW requirements. The CWLA were advised that in accordance with the NSW Government's Land and Property Strategic Framework, the site will be first offered to other NSW Government agencies for their use. If there is no interest from other NSW Government agencies, TAFE NSW will place the property onto the open market.
