(1) Would the Minister please advise the average cost per day for a young person detained in a Youth Justice Centre?

(2) Would the Minister please advise the average cost per day for a young person to be supervised in the community via Youth Justice?
Answer -
AVERAGE COST PER DAY - CUSTODY IN YOUTH JUSTICE CENTRE

I am advised that:

(1) In 2021/22, the average cost per day for a young person detained in a Youth Justice Centre in NSW was $2,748.96.

(2) In 2021/22, the average cost per day for a young person to be supervised in the community via Youth Justice in NSW was $293.15.
