To the President and Members of the Legislative Council, the petitioners of New South Wales state that they strongly support the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2021. No terminally ill person should have to suffer against their wishes as they die. A majority of NSW residents support this compassionate and safeguarded reform, which offers choice and grants the same rights as every other Australian state. The petitioners request that the House acknowledges that the Legislative Assembly has already extensively debated and endorsed the bill in its current form, and request that you pass the bill without significant amendment or delay.
