  1. What is the current status and cost of the project in the Newcastle Local Government Area (LGA) with the description "Griffiths Road and Lloyd Road, Lambton", listed in the 2014 Hunter Regional Transport Plan under the Traffic Management and Road Safety Program with the status "commenced July 2013" and a cost of $1,000,000?
  2. What is the current status and cost of the project in the Newcastle LGA with the description "Install incident response shed Hexham on Pacific Highway", listed in the 2014 Hunter Regional Transport Plan under the Traffic Management and Road Safety Program with the status "commenced August 2013" and a cost of $100,000?
Answer -

I am advised:

  1. $2,000 was spent in 2012-13 and $236,000 in 2013-14 on development and design of the Griffiths Road and Lloyd Road, Lambton intersection upgrade.
    Construction is expected to start in April 2015 and the total project cost is expected to be $2 million.
  2. A manned incident response facility has been established on the New England Highway at Hexham. In April 2014, after refurbishment costing $152,000, the Newcastle based Roads and Maritime Services Traffic Operations staff relocated to the new facility.
