5776 - 2013-14 ARTS BUDGET

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Hospitality, Gaming and Racing, and Minister for the Arts

What was the total of the Arts budget in the financial year 2013-14?

Answer -

The Government has delivered a significant turnaround in public finances, exemplified by the recent delivery of a stable and secure 2014-15 Budget.

The 2014-15 Budget represented a return to surplus one year earlier than forecast in the Half-Yearly Review and shows that both the Budget, and the State economy are in a strong position.

With three years of sensible fiscal management, the Government is in control of the Budget, and is leading the nation on many leading economic indicators.

The headline budget result delivers a forecast deficit of $283 million dollars for 2014-15, before an expected return to surplus of $660 million in 2015-16.
