Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Counter Terrorism and Corrections representing the Minister for Sport, Multiculturalism, Seniors and Veterans

(1) Considering Swim Australia announced a national shortage of learn to swim teachers in March, what is intended to increase the numbers of learn to swim teachers?

(a) Will job and education incentives be created?

(b) Will financial support packages be available to swim schools?
Answer -

I am advised the Government's 'Skilling for Recovery' initiative (administered by Training Services NSW under the Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education) provides fee free swim teacher training via approved Smart and Skilled providers.
