2083 - THEFT IN HUNTER HOSPITALS

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Health, and Minister for Medical Research
  1. Given that theft is increasing in Hunter hospitals, will the Government increase funding for security at Hunter hospitals?
  2. If so, when?
Answer -

I am advised:

  1. and (2) There is no indication that theft is increasing in Hunter Hospitals.
    As issues are identified, the Hunter New England Local Health District will continue to undertake risk assessments and implement appropriate control strategies.
