The Government, through Office of Sport, is administering the Greater Cities Sport Facility Fund where $50 million has been committed over two years to help develop core sport infrastructure. The program will give priority to proposals that strongly meet the program's objectives and focus which includes universally designed and functional facilities for women and girls. City of Newcastle is eligible to apply for funding under this grant program.
