CASEWORKERS FOR CHILDREN AT SERIOUS RISK OF HARM

Considering from October 2019 to September 2020, 11,778 Hunter children were reported as at serious risk of harm, yet less than 1 in 3 saw a caseworker, what is the Government doing to increase caseworker numbers?

The Department of Communities and Justice employs a variety of strategies across various digital platforms such as job boards, social media and press advertising to maintain a 0 per cent net vacancy rate which has been achieved through the first two quarters of the 2020-21 financial year.
