The authorised strength of the Police Transport Command (PTC) was 610 as at
July 2016, meeting a commitment to staffing levels made when the Command
commenced operations in 2012.
The allocation of resources is a matter for the Commissioner. The PTC uses
intelligence driven rostering and strategies to target known offenders and
crime hot spots by deploying police to places where crime may be expected to
occur.
