  1. How many of the promised extra literacy and numeracy teachers for the electorate of Wallsend are currently employed in local schools?
  2. What are the names of the schools where these teachers are located?
  3. What is the timeframe for the remaining teachers to be placed?
  4. What schools will be receiving these remaining teachers?
Answer -
  1. There are no extra literacy and numeracy teachers (Instructional Leaders, Literacy and Numeracy) currently employed in the electorate of Wallsend.
  2. Not applicable.
  3. The equivalent of 900 additional full time teaching positions will be allocated in the time period 2012-2016.
  4. The identification and selection of schools, including those in the electorate of Wallsend, to receive additional resources under the Literacy and Numeracy Action Plan will be ongoing over the five years of the government commitment. For this reason it is not possible to provide a final list of schools.
