Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, and Minister Assisting the Premier on Infrastructure NSW, Leader of the House

Can the Minister outline Hunter Infrastructure Funds plans for 2013, including funding costs, for the Wallsend electorate?

Answer -

 There are two projects of relevance to the Wallsend electorate:

  1. $8 million land acquisition at Waratah for new cancer research and treatment facility with $7 million allocated in 2012-13;
  2. $15 million contribution towards Lake Macquarie Transport Interchange project with $2 million allocated for 2012-13 and a further $5 million forecast for 2013-14.

A third project is immediately adjacent to the electorate of Wallsend:

  1. $2.5 million Cardiff Main Street upgrade
  2. $2.5 million allocated in 2012-13.

Each of these projects is in varying stages of planning and delivery and therefore expenditure of funds.
