What impact will a 6% increase in fares have on the numbers of commuters using public transport in the Hunter?
Answer -

I am advised that given this was the first increase in public transport fares since early 2010 and that the 5.4% increase is in line with CPI increases over the period there is not likely to be an impact on the number of commuters using public transport.
