What funding will be provided in the 2011-2012 budget for the building of the Newcastle Inner City Bypass (NICB), Stage 5, from Jesmond to Rankin Park?
Answer -

I am advised:

A route study for Stage 5 (behind John Hunter Hospital) has been completed and the route has been identified in Newcastle City Council's local environmental plan.

There is currently no funding for Stage 5 and no further work is planned at this time. Current funding allocations are focused on Stage 4 - Shortland to Sandgate.
