Considering the expected growth in western Newcastle suburbs, including Fletcher, is the Minister's department engaging in active consultation with other departments in order to meet the challenges of population growth?

I am advised:

The growth anticipated for the western corridor of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie was most recently considered through the draft Greater Newcastle Metropolitan Plan.

Consultation between the Department of Planning and Environment and other government agencies, including Roads and Maritime Services, is regular and ongoing through this strategic work.
