  1. Is the Government committed to supporting TAFE NSW meet its responsibilities under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 by providing fully registered psychologists as TAFE counsellors?
  2. What is the Government's response to the existing counselling cuts caused by the threat of privatisation, including those in New England, the Hunter, the Illawarra, and South West Sydney?
Answer -

(1) The Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 does not require fully registered psychologists to be employed as TAFE Counsellors.

(2) The Government is not privatising TAFE. TAFE NSW Institutes review their staffing requirements and services to students regularly.
