4694 - LAKE MACQUARIE TRANSPORT INTERCHANGE

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure

Does the Government consider the completion of stages 1 and 2 of the Lake Macquarie Transport Interchange at Glendale an infrastructure priority for the Hunter?

Answer -

Glendale was identified in the Hunter Regional Plan 2036 as an emerging Strategic Centre. The Government has committed $15 million through the Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Fund towards Stage 1 of the Lake Macquarie Transport Interchange. No further funding has been allocated.

Roads and Maritime Services continues to support and advise Lake Macquarie Council on the delivery of the first stage of the interchange.

Transport for NSW will continue to monitor patronage and demand for future stages of the project.
