(3) Participants at the meeting raised a number of concerns, including in

racing industry one more chance in NSW, subject to it agreeing to the strictest
regulations to clamp down on animal cruelty.
The Greyhound Industry Reform Panel, chaired by former Premier Morris Iemma
and with representatives from industry and the RSPCA, will determine the new
regime. It will ensure that New South Wales greyhound racing has the strictest
regulatory guidelines in the country and prioritises animal welfare.Subject to
the Panel's recommendations, legislation will be introduced early in 2017 to
repeal the ban on greyhound racing and establish the new regulatory regime.
