2289 - PROVISION OF SANITARY ITEMS TO GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education representing the Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning

Considering the Victorian Government and the Government of the United Kingdom fund programs to provide free sanitary pads and tampons in every government school, will a similar program be implemented in New South Wales?

 
Answer -

The NSW Department of Education is aware of the Victorian program and is working with schools to explore options on how to best support the needs of students.
