1006 - ABANDONED VEHICLES REMOVAL BUDGET

(1) What was the budget for the removal of abandoned vehicles in each financial year from 2015-16 to 2018-19?

(2) What was the average cost of the removal of an abandoned vehicle in the financial year 2018-19?

 
Answer -

I am advised:

(1) Transport for NSW does not have a specific budget for abandoned vehicles.

(2) The removal of abandoned vehicles is part of day-to-day operational activities carried out by Roads and Maritime. Operational activities, which can include staff and administrative costs, are provided for within the operational expenditure budget. It is not possible to breakdown expenses by individual activity.
