  1. Over the past 12 months, how many rail journey tickets have been sold from the Newcastle Railway station?
  2. Of those ticket sales, how many were for the purchase of:
    1. weekly tickets;
    2. monthly tickets;
    3. quarterly tickets
    4. yearly tickets?
Answer -

I am advised:

  1. and (2) For the period 1 June 2010 to 31 May 2011 a total of 152,198 tickets were issued at Newcastle Station.
    Included in the issues for this 12 month period were 1,776 Weekly tickets, 48 Monthly tickets, 10 Quarterly tickets and 10 Yearly tickets.
