The NSW Police Force has advised me that 6,336 legal actions have been
identified on trains or railway premises in the Hunter during 2015-16, with 95
arrests. Over fifty offences were represented. Travelling, or attempting to
travel, without a valid ticket was by far the most common offence, followed by
alcohol and smoking offences and entering into prohibited areas.
