Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Transport representing the Minister for Roads and Ports

Given the imminent completion of the Hunter Expressway:

Will the Government be funding the planning and building of the Newcastle Inner City Bypass Stage 5 to cater for the additional traffic?
Answer -

I am advised:

The NSW Government's priorities for the Hunter are outlined in the Regional Action Plan. The plan includes the development of the Hunter Regional Transport Plan. In formulating the plan, Stage Five of the Newcastle Inner City Bypass will be considered on its merits along with other projects across Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
