  1. What criteria is used to select members of the community liaison group formed to provide input on the Government's plans for the long term lease of the Port of Newcastle?
  2. Who is responsible for selecting the community liaison group?
  3. How many members will be on the community liaison group?
Answer -

I am advised:

(1) The group's membership provides a balanced representation of the community, business and industry sectors. Government organisations with responsibilities related to the Port of Newcastle or Newcastle Harbour are also represented.

The group was not formed specifically for the long term lease process.
