England Local Health District's Palliative Care Network. Palliative Care
specialists are on-call 24-hours-day and regularly visit the John Hunter
Hospital to provide support and advice.
For those patients with more
complex needs who require specialist palliative care, the Calvary Mater
Newcastle's Palliative Care Unit is available for phone consultation 24 hours
