Hornery, Sonia to the Attorney General, and Minister for Justice

Given the Government's recent review of the Industrial Relations Commission, is the Attorney General planning to abolish the Commission?

Answer -

I am advised:

The Legislative Council Standing Committee on Law and Justice's recommendations impact upon a number of portfolios across Government. The committee has asked the Government to report by 24 September 2012. The Government is actively considering the committee's recommendations and will respond in due course.
