2801 - NEWCASTLE REGIONAL ART GALLERY REFURBISHMENT

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Hospitality and Racing, and Minister for the Arts

Will the Government honour its commitment to provide $7 million towards the refurbishment of the Newcastle Regional Art Gallery, which was its one-third share of the funding of the Art Gallery, along with the Newcastle City Council and the Federal Government?
Answer -

The NSW Government welcomes the refurbishment of the Newcastle Art Gallery, however, State funds have not been committed to support this project.
