- Public exhibition of the Newcastle urban renewal study is anticipated in
late 2012.
- The study will examine the multiple factors impacting on the city centre's
urban renewal including economic, transport issues, public domain and the
existing panning framework. A key consideration is the promotion of enhanced
north-south connections between the waterfront and city centre.
A decision
about the future of the rail line will be made as part of Government's
consideration of the study.
