968 - FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR REFUGEES

Will the Government be providing financial assistance for refugees who were settled in Newcastle under a resettlement program with accommodation services provided by Resolve FM?
Answer -

The Department of Family and Community Services does not fund Resolve FM.

The Department funds a number of other non-government organisations in the Hunter Central Coast Region which provide a range of support services for families and children in the Newcastle area, including projects designed to work with families from a refugee background.
