665 - PUBLIC SERVICE JOB CUTS IN RESEARCH FACILITIES

Hornery, Sonia to the Minister for Primary Industries, and Minister for Small Business

Will there be any cuts to public service jobs in research facilities in the Hunter, including the following:

    1. CSIRO;
    2. Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI);
    3. John Hunter Hospital;
    4. Calvary Mater Hospital?
Answer -

The CSIRO is administered by the Commonwealth Government, and the Hunter Medical Research Institute, John Hunter Hospital, and Calvary Mater Hospital fall under the responsibility of the Minister for Health.
